Clarence was born and raised in the Coalville, Summit County, Utah area. He married Esther Parkinson of Evanston, Wyoming. He was a foreman on the Chesney ranch in Wyoming. He became employed with the Union Pacific Railroad in Evanston which later moved his family to Ogden, Utah. He retired from the railroad in 1960, with one last run to Green River, Wyoming. He was accompanied that day with his son Glen and grandson Mike. His wife died later that summer. He spent much of his retirement years working on the Guild Ranch at Piedmont, Wyoming. He was a rock hound, loved playing cards, and dancing at the Golden Hour Center. He died in Lancaster,California after taking a fall at his daughter Bernice's home. |
